|Barley lake is in the failed point Mackenzie agricultural project. The state wanted to promote dairy production in the state. When the farms were inspected to see that they had the minimum number of cows for the project the inspectors recognized the same cows at different farms.|From downtown Wasilla take Knik-Goose Bay Rd. for about 20 miles. Turn right on Pt. Mackenzie Rd. Right on Holstein Ave to Guernsey Rd. Left on Guernsey Rd. for .9 miles. Right on a dirt road .1 miles to the lake.|The fishing at Barley Lake is good.
