ALASKA FLY FISHING

If you would like to go fishing at Ship Creek please enter the date and time that you would like to go.
Beginning

Ship Creek

Ship Creek runs through down town.

The banks are steep and muddy but king salmon runs are productive. When I fish I like solitude and Ship Creek is combat fishing. I'm not a fan of this fishing but here is the secrete of how to catch King Salmon. Tye a piece of yarn to a treble hook. About two feet up the line attach a sinker. Then attach a large bobber adjusted for the depth of the water. Now you cast up stream from the salmon and watch the yarn as it flows down the river. When the line drifts into the fishes mouth you set the hook. It's not snagging if catch them in the mouth.
