ALASKA FLY FISHING

If you would like to go fishing at big lake please enter the date and time that you would like to go.
Beginning

big lake

Take the Big Lake Road turn and follow the signs.

The fishing is excellent. You can catch "Big Lake strain Rainbow Trout", Arctic Char, Silver Salmon, Burbot, and Northern Pike. Check the regulations before you go fishing. As I understand the regulations today there is no retention of salmon. Arctic Char you are limited to one and the minimum size is twenty inches. Two Rainbow Trout only one over twenty inches. Burbot the limit is five per day. Northern Pike you are encouraged to take all the fish you catch.

You will hear me talk about the Big Lake strain a lot. I believe they are bigger stronger and more aggresive than other rainbows
